    Thanks for your participation!

I want to thank all of you for participating on WaccoBB so thoughtfully and, for the most part, respectfully in the recent election cycle! I feel we helped explore some key local races and issues!

Special thanks go the candidates and protagonists through whose participation we learned more about them and their views. Also thanks to many of you for posting your opinions and reactions, expressing your gratitude, and, of course, reading.

I was really heartened to see WaccoBB serve such a vital role for the community.

    Barry,

I would agree that WACCO serves as an important forum in that it allows more words and postings than the weekly newspaper, including photos and operates in real time. I might suggest that you create a separate category for political campaigns so that the general category is not overwhelmed during an election cycle.

I was especially appreciative that Jim Horn expressed his position more clearly on WACCO than anywhere else and that there was a place to respond to the hit piece put out against Jonathan, which I believe the local rag did not cover at all. I have yet to see any credible justification of this.

I love it! I'll remember this remark and use it myself in the future:

I really appreciate having WaccoBB as a resource to follow many important local issues like the hospital, the bike trails, the the excellent debate about the Sebastopol City Council elections. There are very few forums like this to have ongoing and timely debate on the issues.
