The "Straw Men" I was referring to were the ones you attack in your arguments.

The Wise Use links I provided were to show that people who foreshadow and privilege private property rights to argue against environmental protection, imminent domain uses to achieve social goals and see a bogeyman of collectivism around every corner (communitarianism in your parlance) have a historical track record. Starting back in the late eighties in deploying the particular style of argumentation, and the particular focus you have on governance issues, as a mask for an ideological agenda. Of course, the "debate" and the tactics you use, go back far, far longer.

How about a series of Debates, held under the auspices of Occupy Movement - in the Bandstands of the plazas of Healdsburg, Santa Rosa, Sebastopol, and Sonoma, for starters? Anyone want to take Ms. Koire on? This is a Challenge !

it may as well be asked why do you do this? or any of the rest of us semi-regular posters?

Although personally, I can't say I care any more about why than I care about the actions of the characters on "Jersey Shore" or "Redneck Gold Miners". I suppose the lives and motivations of the characters united through use of Wacco could be considered fodder for some kind of reality show. But I'm more interested in the discussions.

Every once in a while, someone's motivations get challenged, or their psychology gets probed. Maybe I'm prejudiced but I seem to see that tendency associated with the tendency to see conspiracies of other sorts; maybe some people do see issues in a more personalized way than I think is appropriate.
Several posters on this site go to some trouble to bring in relevant links. Several go into some detail to explain how they view the explanations of posters who are professing opposing viewpoints to their own. I'm not the only one who thinks it's actually helpful to challenge the weaker points of someone's position, and point out logical fallacies that they make.
I also enjoy the various personal voices found here - voices in a literary sense. Yours is one of the more unique and entertaining. As is Miles'. I don't see any reason why any of the posters here should mute their voices at all. Despite some posters' recent complaints, I rarely see "attacks", or even overt shilling for some secret agenda. For example, despite some of the recent context given for Rosa's views, I don't interpret that as devaluing her opinions as not being her own. This board benefits when the challenges are to ideas, not to motivations of the posters.

What Makes Marky Run ?

Who, What, When, Where { & then, Why } is the proper order for the categories in formal Journalism. The category What comes before the category of Why. All animals may be equal, but the motivations of all posters on Internet Bulletin Boards are not equal; &, it is accurate to state, that often, they are not even similar.

I can not speak for the motivations of other posters. And yet, when someone questions or makes an issue of someone else’s “modus operandi” [sic] it then becomes a legitimate exercise to examine, & to question that person’s modus operandus, also.

As for myself, I entered the lists of posters in the political categories on WaccoBB.net not earlier than June, last year, after I had learned – through WaccoBB, the fate of John Jenkel and how the Superior Court of Sonoma County had essentially, confiscated half of his land, and awarded it, by means of a closed-to-the-public auction, to the curious LLP Corporation / combine that squats next door, which had sued him for bogus - & greedy – reasons.

You may seek to analyze, critique, or fathom my motivation for posting about Jenkel & Hobbs for such a blame'd long time by reading what I have written, as it is recorded here.

Subsequently, I posted a notice of a call to assemble for an Action at the gate of Bohemian Grove, last Summer. I felt that it was necessary to demonstrate at the Grove, even though the local left were boycotting the demonstration because they felt that the new-comers {the hackers' group, Anonymous} were invading their turf:

Taken all-in-all, I am not ashamed of what I have written, in the short time that I have been permitted to post here, at WaccoBB, for it is an Oeuvre, of sorts.

Now, that I have been shown {or at least reminded that there is} the Door, for having made a “personal attack” on poor “Mad” Miles, I can only say, in my own for defense, that I have always, only, & ever striven to show {& tell} the truth as I know it, and to share some of the many things I have learned in the course of a long and interesting Life, as well as some of the occasional flashes of inspiration that have come to me over the years, like the Five Point Platform for Radical Change, and Amendment XXVIII.
