West County Grill has closed its doors, finally. I've been expecting it's demise every since it opened. I can't say I've ever eaten there, but I've heard several less than favorable comments about it.
On the other hand, Restaurant Eloise has recently opened in the old Bistro V location, across from the flea market south of Sebastopol. I expect they will do much better than either Bistro V or WCG.
I had a nice chat with Brian, the general manager, there today and I was very impressed with their commitment to growing their own produce as much as possible, using local ingredients (lots of organics), as well as their commitment to using the whole animal, including organs, for some of their meat dishes.
The main dining room has a fresh new feel and I think you'll be impressed with the level of consciousness they bring to the dining experience. I haven't had a meal there yet, but you can see a review here, and perhaps some of you will chime in with some of your comments as well...
