Re: Sonoma County Covid-19 The Numbers

The problem with soco stats is they are twisted, aka limited by agenda. Not as bad as la county though, the perennial Cali hot spot where my daughter lives. The point is what statistical info do we put our faith in? As fellow science believers? How about Sweden? How do we compare to Sweden? Let's just assume that both bureaucracies are honest, yes a stretch. By this measure the race is yet undecided, though the Swedes are clearly ahead. We are racing toward a vaccine with at least 10% efficacy. What does that mean? What is the immune efficacy of testing positive and living?

More important what is the fatality rate now? Clearly first attempts to treat covid were less effective. Currently the global death rate is approaching .1%. How does this compare to local news? Hard to tell since the local stats are so limited by the state.

Unnecessary harm is happening in Sonoma county because the profiteers suppress the information. The treatment successfully used around the world is available right here in Santa Rosa. I work in the medical ozone clinic in Santa Rosa and see resolution of viral infections on a regular basis, including covid + patients, but resolution can happen without even needing to identify the virus. Medical ozone, in use since before the 1920's, is fear-mongered because ozone cannot be patented. In 1996, the first documentary on medical ozone was made, voted "most outstanding documentary of the year" and refused broadcasting. Below is 18 minutes of what remains of that video now.

If anyone does their homework about the PCR 'test', they would know that test can find Coronavirus RNA material from any coronavirus a person was ever exposed to in life, including the varieties that cause a type of common cold. Discovery of coronavirus RNA material is NOT an indication of whether or not a person has a current active infection from Covid. However, a 'positive' find of Coronavirus is called 'a case'..... as if that person is infected. The test designer himself - developed the test for HIV/AIDS research - said it was never meant to 'diagnose' but rather to give researchers enough of virus to conduct research. There are many false positives. Labs can, in fact, prepare the number of times they manipulate a sputum sample to create 100% positive results. Anyone's virome can have genetic material from Coronavirus and may not be infected. Fauci et al go on and make that sound terrifying... as if they are the 'nonsymptomatic' carriers (a modern c-virus 'typhoid Mary'.)

    https://www.livescience.com/how-coro...ests-work.html

“PCR tests work by detecting specific genetic material within the virus. Depending on the type of PCR on hand, health care workers might swab the back of the throat; take a saliva sample; collect a liquid sample from the lower respiratory tract; or secure a stool sample.

Once a sample arrives at the lab, researchers extract its nucleic acid, which holds the virus' genome. Then, researchers can amplify certain regions of the genome by using a technique known as reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction. This, in effect, gives researchers a large sample that they can then compare to the new coronavirus, known as SARS-CoV-2.

SARS-CoV-2 has nearly 30,000 nucleotides, the building blocks that make up DNA and RNA. The PCR test developed by the University of Washington School of Medicine (UW Medicine) targets just 100 nucleotides that are specific to SARS-CoV-2, Dr. Alex Greninger, an assistant professor in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and an assistant director of the Clinical Virology Laboratory at UW Medicine, told The Seattle Times.

These 100 nucleotides include two genes in the SARS-CoV-2 genome. A sample is considered positive if the test finds both genes, inconclusive if just one gene is found, and negative if neither gene is detected.”

Seems to me the language was explicit: increased testing increases the number of cases REPORTED: nothing about the number a cases that occurred (reported or not). A key question I have: are the tests we see (about 1200 per day) mostly from people seeking them because they feel unwell or have a concern, or are they proactive testing (as in nursing homes, etc) looking for cases. If it is the latter, then it points to most tests finding non-symptomatic cases. If non-symptomatic cases are widespread (say 2% of randomly selected people in the county) then more testing will increase the number of cases that are reported in the stats. It was clear; it is logical.

Oh, I am clear with language; do you know how many people have symptoms at all? How many people are extremely ill? How many ignored early symptoms when the word is out early treatment makes all the difference? Or, is the word not out on that....?

People are afraid and the news is obfuscated. I watched the Nigerian president on a youtube (probably removed now) who talked about how he tested goats and fruit and they came back positive for covid. Older articles on virus infections, masks and more to do with illness are disappearing from archives from places like Forbes. Did you know that in recent years the legal definition of a pandemic changed? What an interesting time in the world it is!

Alas! A person who has read the research! THANK YOU! I have read the research and history on the pcr 'test' before as well - but I feel weary putting out truth about these things when people seem to hvae their mind made up and closed. Many seem so invested in their current beliefs. Moshe Feldenrkais said "The sure effect of belief and certainty is to stop thinking." - Sadly, many have stopped thinking or researching, but instead cling to fear and false securities provided by main stream media. I can't blame them; the powers that be seem to do everything in their power to convey they are terrified of a the unseen virus and keep it forward in our minds. They demonstrate snuffing out people's fear with chemical agents like alcohol that kills bacteria not virus. I stopped at Whole Foods in Santa Rosa tonight after work, the great show of spraying and wiping the check out counter. I think I won't go there anymore, I would rather have workers hands on my artichokes than alcohol - give me Andy's or Community Market.

I watched most of the video you posted (https://www.americasfrontlinedoctors.com/stream/) -- omitting some of the political stuff and focusing on the medical info. interesting. I also read the white paper the video cited ("White Paper on Hydroxychloroquine" Dr. Simone Gold, MD, JD www.americasfrontlinedoctors.com www.AFLDS.com). I'm perplexed. so hard to sort out truth from lies these days with so much contradictory info. I do think I'd feel better if I knew I had access to the cheap medication they suggest (over-the-counter in most of the world, but outlawed here and in some other countries as well). Do you know how it can be obtained?

Not sure who i'd actually listen to if i got Covid, but i really hear that message about EARLY TREATMENT being so critical, which makes sense for something that replicates quickly in your body! I'd love to have some remedies on hand that are based on early treatment, rather than inhalers and stuff to treat later stages, which is less likely to work. It does seem odd that you are supposed to get treatment only if you are really really sick, rather than "nipping it in the bud", which makes so much more sense.

Well said Pamela.. When science has been basically hijacked, and media are owned by a few - willing to repeat the same lies ad nauseum, people likely think they do know all that's necessary. The immune system is so complex and so much is being learned about it, texts were re-written often as understanding grows exponentially. Even trying to parse one lie or deliberate deception or honest mistake.. takes enormous energy..

Yet another difficulty w/a test that delivers false positives is you can also promote more lies: that 'there is NO immunity and people can be RE-infected'. I wish this website edited better - it can be a source of really good info - but discussion rambles a LOT. Very interesting clip at beginning of last week's show of a doctor saying we need 'herd mentality' (instead of herd immunity) - links to show and to two of the articles that led to discussion about PCR test: https://www.thelastamericanvagabond....been-isolated/

People "loosing their lives to covid" - an RNA virus, for me, needs more info; like a health history, otherwise it seems like just more chain-rattling over humanity's classic fear of death, which is another thing not being talked about. Topics that are not actually acknowledged have power; such as how so-called "racism" that has been perpetuated in humanity keeping white men on top of women, children and all people of color. SO, we have our black history month, women's history month, Hispanic heritage month and so on, but no white history month....why? Because it goes unacknowledged that whites are the "normal" - the baseline to which all else is measured. So much is assumed. sorry - I got derailed there.... I'm reading "White Fragility; Why Racism is so hard for White People to talk about" and learning what so called "racism" really is.

Re: Sonoma County Covid-19 The Numbers

Overly long, but very good, look at Sonoma County's Covid-19 situation: (There are some very helpful graphics in the Chronicle story but I couldn't reproduce them for WACCO. See original article on Chronicle site here )

Why Sonoma is the only Bay Area county stuck in the strictest reopening tier
Coronavirus cases in one Santa Rosa ZIP code remain high, frustrating public health officials, community organizers and businesses

    Kellie Hwang Oct. 21, 2020

California has achieved notable success corralling the coronavirus pandemic while cases have again surged nationwide. The Bay Area in particular is a standout, with eight of nine counties progressing to less-restrictive levels in the state’s four-tier reopening system.

The exception: Sonoma County, still stuck in the purple tier indicating “widespread” virus risk. It’s one of just 12 counties in California with that designation, which places tight restrictions on businesses and other public activity.

Sonoma meets two of three requirements to move to the next-less-restrictive tier: positive test rate and equity measurements. But its coronavirus case rate is still far too high to make the transition, edging up this week after stubbornly hovering around 10 cases per 100,000 people.

Why is Sonoma, in the heart of Wine Country, struggling so much harder than its Bay Area neighbors to tamp down the coronavirus?

The reasons, officials, experts and community members say, are a combination of socioeconomic factors and a response that did not ramp up fast enough to put a lid on the virus while the county was moving quickly to reopen in the summer.

Sonoma’s agricultural industry sets it apart from the Bay Area and brings it more in line with the coastal and valley counties that power California’s farming sector. And many of those counties, too, have struggled during the pandemic.

“All of the agricultural parts of the state still have high rates,” said UCSF infectious disease expert George Rutherford. “Sonoma is just like a lot of other big agricultural communities: There are lots of cases in the Latinx community, lots of cases in farmworkers.”

The Latino community in Sonoma, as in many other counties, has been disproportionately affected throughout most of the pandemic. Across California, Latinos make up 39% of the population but account for 61% of coronavirus cases and 49% of deaths. In Sonoma County, many perform essential jobs in the service, tourism and agricultural industries, and often live in crowded housing conditions.

Public health officials have been aware of the disparity issue since the beginning of the pandemic. They have tried a number of tactics, including increased testing efforts, recruiting bilingual contact tracers and developing an alternate care site where people can quarantine away from household members. But that still hasn’t been enough.
    A ‘third wave’ in Sonoma

Sonoma County attributes its high coronavirus case rate to a problem that most counties in the state and country have been grappling with throughout the pandemic.

“The primary drivers are socioeconomic disparities, the pressure essential workers and those living on limited income have to go to work, despite safety concerns,” said county health officer Dr. Sundari Mase in a recent public briefing.

In Sonoma County, the Latino population has been hit particularly hard, accounting for 54% of reported COVID-19 cases where ethnicity is known, despite constituting only 26% of the population.

County data shows that Santa Rosa is the driver of virus cases in the county, particularly the Latino-dominated 95407 ZIP code. At its peak in mid-summer, that area recorded 40.8 cases per population of 100,000, and only a moderate decrease has occurred since then.

“The entire state has a racialized spike in COVID cases,” said Alegría De La Cruz, director of Sonoma County’s new office of equity.

Earlier this month, California introduced a health equity metric for its reopening system that is keyed to the positive test rate in disadvantaged communities. It requires larger counties to submit a plan outlining targeted investments to decrease coronavirus transmission in disproportionately impacted populations. It’s one of three metrics now being tracked in each county to determine which businesses are allowed to reopen.

While Sonoma County is just under the purple tier’s equity metric threshold, at 7.5%, it’s much higher than the other Bay Area counties. Solano County is the next highest at 4.1%, while the others are 3.3% and lower.

Re: Sonoma County Covid-19 The Numbers

I don't think it's quite that simple. It depends on who is being tested. At times they have tested all first responders or those in a certain community or those who work at nursing homes. These people would almost always be without symptoms so very few positives would result even though you had run a lot of tests. On the other hand if they are testing everyone at a drive though generally these would be people who have symptoms or feel they have been exposed so fewer tests would have a higher positives in this group. Perhaps a better metric is ICU and hospitalizations as a certain percentage of those infected will end up there. Even that will vary dramatically depending on the demographic of those infected.

Our county health experts are looking at all kinds of data and making decisions based on it. They likely aren't getting their information from the President of a small African County but rather decades of experience in medicine and epidemiology.

I think nothing about this is "simple," and yet, really, everything is. It's a paradox. Did you know that May of 2009 the legal definition of a pandemic was changed to enable this sort of control over the WHO member countries? Yes, there is a nasty RNA virus going around, maybe a bit like the "bird flu" which I and my beloved Murray both got, suffered through and survived. it took a long time to get our energy back, six weeks as I recall; it was a bad flu. Having illness is a normal part of being a human; being driven and motivated by fear of illness, that's not a normal part of being human, but fear generated and perpetuated by the powers that want to control the masses, the profiteers. My sister sent me an article from the Oregonian about ablation and the forth line in the article was a once sentence admonishment about covid, written in bold, and completely out of context regarding the article. The brainwashing is getting hypnotic and bizarre; the subconscious or subliminal suggestions to be afraid of the unseen that will make you feel bad and kill you, the ridiculous and excessive use of toxic alcohol sprays and wipes. When one thinks of industry, the chemical industry is raking it in while the lipstick industry is probably languishing right now; silly to consider but likely true. Below is an interesting article to peruse regarding the history of how WHO can now legally call a pandemic, which enables/empowers the few to impose restrictions and loss of freedoms on the many.

for those interested in more information on the "tests" and what a few doctors are reporting around the world. We are just not getting these reports in the USA; the profiteers have the media sewn up.
    >>>group of over 500 medical doctors in Germany called ‘Doctors for Information’ made a shocking statement during a national press conference: (1) ‘The Corona panic is a play. It’s a scam. A swindle. It’s high time we understood that we’re in the midst of a global crime.’<. <
