Sebastopol LED Streetlight Trial

City of Sebastopol, City Council Item for Consideration of Approval of PG&E Owned Street Lights to be Replaced with New Warmer Color 3000 Kelvin LED Fixtures by PG&E.

Based on comments received during the discussion at the Sebastopol City Council meeting of December 5, 2017. The City of Sebastopol in collaboration with Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) will be installing a continuous section of LED 3000K Streetlights on Jewell Avenue, from Hayden Avenue to Dowd Drive. The intent of this sample trial section is to give the public an opportunity to get a visual demonstration of what a continuous section of LED street lighting will actually look like. The installation is tentatively scheduled for Friday December 22, 2017.

The sample trial will also be incorporating the use of streetlight shields and testing lower wattage LED replacement fixture options.

The City of Sebastopol is seeking public input on this installation.
