    kindness of strangers

    While we watch amazing folks helping those in desperate straits in TX, I just want to say we have our own kind and wonderful people here as well. Thanks to the Latina mother and her young son, who took a moment in the Kaiser parking lot this morning to help me pick up something I had dropped. Bending down was so painful for me, and she saw me struggling and offered to pick them up for me. I just want to say how wonderful it is to see people reaching out to help each other. Thank you to all those who offer kindness to others, even strangers.
