I'm still a hater. Don't get me wrong. I was so peeved about the new GloboCorp Mega Store. Venting here on WaccoBB.net was very therapeutic.
Driving into Sebastopol last week after being gone for 6 months, I realized that their victory was real, and came to terms with it. Then I tried to see the positives and take a wait-and-see attitude. Recycled bricks would have looked better or course, but the walls have a nice old-timey Petaluma feel.
My questions are these: Aren't the builders of CVS required to provide an art installation equal to a certain percentage of the cost of the building? I thought I'd ask the community. Isn't that still a local law?
Also, whats going to become of the "old" CVS building? How much worse can it possibly get? Maybe I'm not ready for the answer. If they open an Applebee's there I'm moving to Canada. Discuss.

It's also why the final screw-you from CVS (not designing a second floor that was agreed to) is particularly bothersome, since the city council requested it so the building would be more flexible and be able to accommodate future non-bigbox tenants.
