Rx to Happiness


The Materialistic Stupor of the old Piscean Age is now well behind us,

Drink from the clear waters in the New Age of Aquarius.


When you search for the happiness inside of your soul,

Just believe that this journey is one worthwhile Goal.

Don’t fool yourself here by what you already know,

You have to question your own psyche, or you won’t grow.



You can’t keep on doing the same jaded old things,

Get to work on this trail where mental-freedom rings.

“It’s all about me,” is no longer the cry,

Just examine that old selfishness and kiss it goodbye.



You can start your altruism off right by helping others,

On this higher plane of existence we’re all sisters and brothers.

Become self-activated, self-assured and self-reliant,

Give up that old dogma that being cool is being a recalcitrant or defiant.



If you can’t say anything Positive, don’t speak at all,

Just keep your mind open until you can feel the call.

Didactical books are what each Happiness Seeker needs,

Define Conceit, and Hubris or the ill-effects of un-checked Greed.



Hand out Mercy now in a generous lot,

Benevolence and Grace is the New Age plot.

Sing a song, take a walk, get out and move,

Depression is transformed when you get into this groove.



Immerse your soul in the power of nature and let it imbue,

Let Joy and Peace and Gratitude be the Spiritual Cloak covering you.

Love today is no longer just between a boy and a girl,

But a Divine Blanket of Serenity that covers everyone’s entire world.



Try not to confuse Emotional Peace with Sexual Desire,

This is how the mind’s thinking neurons hijack and misfire.

Don’t sit around moping or hoping that Love will come to you,

Become proactive by making someone else’s dreams come true.



Learn to transcend Gender’s worn-out philanderer’s topic,

Follow in the Steps to the Art of the New Age Philanthropic.

Happiness now is such a terrible thing to waste,

Past Fears and Present Denials make it flee in haste.


True Happiness is gained in the usual way,

It only comes back once you give it away.

Start this trip on your own Birthday and begin Giving,

The good feelings that return will prove you are now living.


Give with your mind, with your heart, and give with your soul,

And watch the seeds of Love sprouting in your Happiness Goal.

Pack up some clothes and donate them to Charity,

Buy someone’s meal and spread the Generosity.



Pick up some Litter or go clean up a Beach,

Do whatever is needed to extend your global reach.

If nothing here on this List will ever do,

I’m afraid my friend, there is no hope left for you.

had his brain scanned while he meditated. The experiment revealed that

the positive emotions whirling around in his gray matter were super-abundant.

Various publications thereafter dubbed him "the happiest person in the world."

Since he's neither egotistical nor fond of the media's simplistic sound bites,

he's not happy about that title. I hope you won't have a similar reaction,….

For best results, I suggest you cultivate Ricard's definitions of happiness:

"altruism and compassion,

inner freedom (so that you are not the slave of your own thoughts),

senses of serenity and fulfillment, resilience, as well as a clear

and stable mind that does not distort reality too much."
