Finally: Vietnamese Restaurant in Sebastopol!

At last, Vietnamese food in Sebastopol, and it's really good! The name is Lua Viet ( the owner/manager told me that Lua means rice) and it's in behind Starbuck's on Gravenstein Highway South, where Woodward's used to be, near Hole in the Wall (another good place). I've eaten there twice, and was really pleased with the food and the attentive service. After I did a bit of proofreading of the menu (they'd only been open 9 days when I first ate there) the owner gave us our dessert, which was a delicious coconut flan!

Well, we were very excited to hear about and try this new restaurant. Ordered take out last night and everything was so flavorful and delicious. Only one complaint -- the $12 seafood noodle soup only had 2 shrimp and 2 little pieces of squid in it (and no cilantro, as described). :( The veggie spring rolls and the lemon chicken were delish!!

I get pretty excited about fun food options, too, but am surprised that no one has mentioned any details about the quality of the ingredients. Recently I was thrilled about the promise of a new Thai restaurant downtown, but disappointed to find no mention of organic (or equivalent, or better!), let alone locally sourced items there. How about the new Vietnamese place? Seems like a colossal waste of time & resources to me to bother conducting a restaurant with pesticides, etc. for ingredients.

we liked it,the food was SALTY Ok with me ,I like salt,but anybody with a salt problem would freak
I'd give it an 8 still ADORE Noodle Palace on Petaluma Hill rd. in S R that's a 10 Laos food very similar Way Veggie . probably not organic vegan or gluten free sorry newbies but hey have some FUN now and then...

Yeah, I just got back from lunch there: Diablo Shrimp! OMG! With caramelized onions! Sooo good!
