    A Ghazal for the Sky

There is a winter full moon in the sky
That is covered by thick clouds in the sky.

A coyote howls, then resumes his prowl
Underneath gathering gloom in the sky.

Some litter in the wind begins to spin
While an angel prays aloud in the sky.

Drifting stars take form, the summer is warm,
As the stars sing country tunes in the sky.

They spend their time in the charity line,
It's been years since they felt proud in the sky.

She says to a friend, "I won't see you again,
But we'll see each other soon in the sky."

My name is Jim, perhaps on a whim
I'll be dancing with the clouds in the sky.
