Let The Distractions Come

Let the distractions come, the wars, the avalanches,
the earthquakes and the thundering tornadoes
waltzing on the crackling ice-dancefloors belonging to those quiet,
red-eyed hurricanes twisting to enliven their releases more,

Because there’s no stopping that sound that’s ceaselessly roaming
in the back of my mind,
I cannot be swayed from that heartfelt whisper of a noise,
What there is when your soul slips out of its human silk and you step
towards me unconditionally,
All thighs and insatiably glowing with the cauldron-fires that smelt worlds,
new attitudes and strike heartbeats in Jesus-less men named Lazarus,

You, only you can do this to me,
Permission-less and unfathomably prudent in your trespassing,
If I did care about owning boundaries in your midst, I don’t remember and whosoever
tries to remind me that I can recall, beware,
I am a storm now, full of wild ideas and credentials, ambitious and amnestic,
I am not responsible for what you might do to yourself when I say ‘yes’ to everything
you judge me to be,

You, only you,
How you vaporize all the This’s and leave one That,
Impregnated with promises that populate galaxies and giggle
at the quaintnesses of black holes,
I am dismissed to always be on time inside your timeless love,

I bathe in your luminous shadow,
I am the ruby leach around the neck of your opal jaguar,
I voluntarily cannot exist without you,
You’re emblazoned on my inhales,
You’re emblazoned on my exhales,
I am a Greenhouse-god, throne-less, churchless, lawless and
admitting into my temple only atheists who can cook and like to
watch hummingbirds drink from waterfalls.
