    About science

    We have a tendency to bandy around scientific terms, and indeed science itself, in these forums (fora?), often with a very unclear idea of what they actually mean. Here is a pretty clear explanation of the scientific method, and of the meaning of terms such as theory, law, hypothesis and such when used in the context of science.
