MACBOOK PRO MISSING AUG 10 in SEBASTOPOL

2011 MacBook Pro MISSING! PLEASE RETURN! Lost on august 10th, 2014 around 2pm

PLEASE whoever picked up this laptop from the car wash, return it to me! The ONLY pictures and videos I have of my daughter as a baby are on this computer. Years of work getting my business started. This computer is the first thing that I actually completely saved up for and bought for myself. It was a huge investment and I would really love it back! It has been devastating for me to recover any of the work, photos, and videos. Thank you for your compassion and support!!!!

Option one: Drop the computer of at the south point storage or whole foods with my number to call Elise at 707-569-6512!

Option two: Kindly give me a call!!!! 707-569-6512 I am happy to reward whoever returns it!!!

Option three: Bring it/drop it off at the police department because I did file a report there and then they can call me!

    Fellow Sebastopol-ian, Elise 707-569-6512

You have my deepest sympathy. Losing a computer can be a devastating experience. I know it is not much help at this point, but perhaps others can use this information (and maybe yourself in the future.) Macs have an application called Find My Mac (also for iPhone and ipad) that will report back when a missing device is next connected to the internet, giving its location. You do have to set it up before it is lost, though. Also please people, BACK UP! Macs have a utility called Time Machine that is pretty much set and forget. That way you can just restore your last backup to a new computer and you only lose what you did since the last backup.

Sorry this is too late for you, and I hope you find your computer.

Also you can upload your pictures to Shutterfly.com for free for another safe place to keep them. It is just not wise to keep your only pictures in your laptop - so many things can happen. Sure hope you get it back.
