    Johnson's Beach

I heard that Johnson's Beach in Guerneville is sold to a Japanese corporation.
If that is so, it was the quickest sale I ever heard of or it was in the secret making for some time back.

Should that be so, does the corporation have the right to build what so ever they have in mind?
Perhaps its a family calling itself a corporation?
Perhaps its a Guerneville Business with an office in Japan to get cheep labor and low taxes?

    Anyone know?

How did you "hear"? Just eavesdropping in a grocery line? Do you usually get informed of every pending business real-estate transaction in advance?

Normally it would have the same rights as current owners

Why would it matter if it was a family? what a very odd question.

Now we get to something I know about. Wages in Japan are about the same as US. and How would they have cheap labor in Japan work at Johnson's beach?

And the best part about Wacco, you get responses from people who don't know any more than you, and don't have a reason to care either.

    Re: Johnson's Beach

Johnson's Beach is not just ANY business real estate sale, its Guerneville's beach since the good old days...
Some of us care about the beach

I heard the news from a normally reliable person and I am still waiting from where he heard it from.
Sorry, I guess I should have waited with the posting, but to anyone I talked about the sale, was surprised about the sale in the first place.

Johnson's Beach was in family hands for ages, you really believe a japanese corporation or any body who will buy the property will have the same care about the beach and the towns interest and not just about income?
Its a tourist town! What a joke. But perhaps miracles are still happening...

Okay, you are telling me that Wacco readers don't know any more than I do ... sharks, and I always thought Wacco readers know everything ... or some know more than I do ... what a disappointment ...

Sooo, perhaps it might have been just a sushi joke ... I let you know as soon as I will find out.
In these days funky news travel faster before they even happen ... happens all the time

Sorry spam1, it seem to be a "tempura rumor" I have been told, but not from the grocery line ...
