Dental QUESTION ~ Fillings too high? Consequences?

When we have fillings done or redone, the tooth has the potential to take on a new shape that can subtly change a bite.

If one has an overbite that is wearing down lower teeth, and the fillings in the back of the mouth are higher that the original tooth, would that

1) have the potential to stop grinding down the front teeth?

2) cause problems with the jaw needing to realign or putting excess pressure on the filling and opposing tooth?

Dwight Jennings DDs in Alameda county works extensively with bite and it's correction.

Yes in my experience the front teeth should not touch. Unless you are getting both sides done it probably wont help. the dentist will check your bite and adjust the filling. You want multiple contact by molars. I am only a client who had this done.
