A Way We Can Effect Change - Please Read

Hi, all you Waccos. By now, most of you know about Citizens United, the U.S. Supreme Court decision that, strangely, made it official that corporations are people and money is a form of speech. You've also probably noticed what a bad effect corporate money has had on American politics at all levels. And maybe you've heard about Move to Amend, the nation-wide citizens group that's trying to turn back this obviously bad situation with a proposition in the Nov., 2014, ballot, calling for a U.S. Constitutional Amendment to roll back Citizens United.

Locally, Move to Amend - Sonoma County is working on raising 25,000 signatures on a petition to put this amendment on the ballot. Similar efforts are happening all over the country and, if people get involved, there's a good chance we'll be able to turn back some of the negative influence that mega-corporations have on the lives of Americans.
