    Looking for good holistic chiropractor

    Location:  Petaluma/Sebastopol/Santa Rosa
I am looking for a good holistic chiropractor who has a repertoire that extends beyond the traditional force chiropractic adjustments. I often do better with more subtle methods (though I'm not looking to do Network chiropractic) and am very interested in an approach that goes beyond basic musculo-skeletal issues. I'd also like to find someone who has good diagnostic techniques, since some of the things I have going on are not necessarily straightforward.

I would love some recommendations. Thanks!

Hi Kristi & Wacco Community in general ~

Not sure why you're uninterested in Network, since this modality defines subtle, holistic chiropractic care. Perhaps the practitioner you visited was not a good fit (we know how crucial this is for healing!). I've been receiving light touch "Network Spinal Analysis" for many years. The Association for Network Care has been reframed as The Association for Reorganizational Healing Practice, but the work behind it is the same: through a system developed by Donald Epstein, D.C., chiropractors trained in this approach help the body/mind release patterns of interference (called "subluxations"), enabling your body to remember the path of wholeness and return to this state.

I had seen a traditional chiropractor for a number of years prior to discovering Network in the mid-90s, and while I adored my chiropractor, I almost always found that my neck would return to its prior condition within a few days. Not so with this work. Network's gentle touch helps your body re-pattern itself, and the effect is cumulative. I've seen practitioners all over the country during my travels over the years. Currently I see Jason Beck in Petaluma: 707-766-6363. While his office offers a number of other modalities as well, he is trained in Network and that is the only reason I see him. If he feels a structural adjustment is needed, he will ask you first if this is OK.

Hope this background helps you! If anyone who reads this does call Jason's office, please say Amara referred you. Thanks and blessings.

I recommend Curtis Turchin very highly! He meets all of the needs you describe (excellent diagnostician, does not use traditional "bone cracking" techniques/is very gentle, has a background in many varying areas) and I have had great results with him (and I'm not an easy case and have seen many practitioners with far fewer results/more time and money spent).

His Sebastopol office is downtown, in the building w/Community First Credit Union. Here's his website: https://www.curtisturchin.com/

I hope you find as much benefit with him as I have, and feel better soon!

I am seeing Sharon Lacey in Sebastopol for Network chiropractic and biophoton light therapy, also called "Biontology". Look up the work of Johan Boswinkel to learn about Biontology. I am loving the work and the practitioner. Sharon is highly intuitive. I have felt that just sitting with her for an hour, conversing and laughing, is alone worth the price of admission.

    Best wishes...
    Judy

I am very fond of Dr. Jeffrey Friedman. I find him very intuitive, holistic, caring and he's a very good listener. He really takes the time to get to know you and help you heal. I find him a little unconventional but he seems very effective. He does different kinds of adjustments but if you only wanted to use the activator or focus on gentler techniques he would certainly honor the request, unless he felt something specific was absolutely necessary. He doesn't just do chiropractics. He has studied other alternative healing treatments. He's also a nutritional healer. He has also studied the meridians used in Chinese medicine/acupressure. He's pricey though - I think it's around $200 for the initial consultation (long appointment), and $85/per session. My right knee problem seems to have gone away. I had to stop seeing him due to a long-term illness and I couldn't afford to see him during that time. Since I haven't seen him in a long time I would have to do the initial consultation again, so I've been putting it off. But I think he's marvelous. I wish I could find someone like him up here in Santa Rosa.

He has an office in Petaluma near 4th & D St. And another office in San Rafael.
