Sebastopol Police arrest Arson suspect after fire which destroyed Frizelle Enos Feed Store

On Saturday, 7-13-13, Sebastopol Police and Fire responded to a fire at Frizelle Enos Feed Store, a landmark business located in Sebastopol. The fire completely destroyed the business and building.

On Wednesday, 7-17-13, Sebastopol Police arrested the suspect believed to be responsible for intentionally starting the fire.

The suspect, Steven Barton Edmonds, age 53, is a local transient in the Sebastopol area. The investigation by the Sebastopol Police Department, which included video of Edmonds, indicated that Edmonds intentionally started the fire.

Upon learning of the evidence, Sebastopol Police located and arrested Edmonds, who refused to provide a statement.

Edmonds was booked at the Sonoma County Jail. His bail was set at 1 million dollars.
