Edward didn't post this I (Conly) did. it's from the Grinch that stole X-mass. I thought it was amusing and have shared it all over the web. I have been talking with friends about rewriting it to be more topic specific and doing a YouTube video. Do you want to do a similar parody? I think "Mitt" is worse than Reagan and both Bush's combined because there will be much more Machiavellian shadow characters behind him pulling his strings. I think that ignorant and intolerant people will vote for mitt either because they are selfish and greedy by nature or deluded or even worse think they know “The one and only true and right way!”. Who needs to have more than ten-million-dollars-a-year for the rest of their life anyway??? Why? What is the point? It's just OCD hoarding. Real wealth comes from the movement of “money” in the local community. Not from siphoning it and stashing it in the Camoens.
Or maybe you have stock in Halliburton?

There are many, many of us who are not Republicans who do not like or trust Obama, and we will not vote for him regardless of how much he tells us what we want to hear, because we have seen that your beloved emperor has no clothes. He is everything he claims not to be, and nothing that he says he is. We have seen the lies for what they are.

Millions of independents and democrats are watching the news right now, and we are seeing with our own eyes, the emails to the White House that were being sent in real time as the embassy attack was taking place that prove that Obama knew it was a pre-planned attack by an Al Queda group, and that calls for reinforcements from Tripola were ignored, and 4 Americans were killed when they could have been saved. We have watched the President tell lies, about his lies about more lies about this in order to get re-elected. Its on every major news channel and site RIGHT NOW. it is even on the Times Square electronic banner!

We have watched the price of gold double, and we know that means our dollar is worth half what it was in 2009. We have watched while the insurance companies, the AMA, and the drug companies spent almost a billion dollars promoting Obamacare, and watched him cram this ineffectual piece of crap down our throats in order to pay off his buddies in big business, when he could have simply copied the already well proven Romney plan that works so well in Mass.

We have watched him cuddle up with the public employees unions that have given us such ineffectual public schools, while he could have simply copied Romney's plan which has made Mass. Schools the best in the nation.

We have watched him blame Bush for spending too much for 4 years, and yet spend even more himself.

We have watched the deficit not reduced, but soaring.

We have watched the real unemployment numbers soar while he tries to tell us we have jobs that we dont.

We have watched him appoint the very same people to to staff positions that he claimed caused the economic crash.

We are the people in the middle, the Independents, and the moderates of the Left and the Right, the people who gave him the White house, and we have watched so many lies that he makes Bush look honest in comparison, and we ARE DONE WITH HIM.

This is why he sinking faster than the Titanic.

This why he will be gone in January.

You people had a chance to elect a decent woman like Hillary, and you went for the lies you wanted to hear, instead of the known truth in front of you. You deceived yourselves, and now you will pay the price for that. There will be no second term, and our country is twice the mess it was 4 years ago.

There is no difference between the extreme Right and the extreme Left, they are both equally part of the problem. They both believe the lies that they want to hear. They both have radical agendas that polarize our country. There is no real difference between Bush and Obama, they are just two differing paths to the same mess.

I knew before the first debate even started, you could see it on Barry and Michelle's faces. They had just got the word from Valerie Jarrett that the party is over.

Go live in your denial land where your side is everything good and the other side is everything bad. The Right Wing wackos got half of it right: Obama is definitely everything bad...

Its not that people are all voting for Romney, its that they just aren't voting for Obama again...

I have "Karen the Kat" on my ignore list. I only know that she posted something because you responded to her trolling. There is an old saying in online communities such as this one, "Don't Feed the Trolls." Karen is a textbook example of an internet troll and the only good thing to do with them is to completely ignore their nonsense and never respond; put them on your ignore list. That way, you don't have to see absurd and useless rants, lies and insults, which only reflect their ignorance, their bias, and their bigotry.

Conly, I love your covering the Grinch melody. It's a great idea and very talented. If we can manage to get a group together to sing in public that would be fantastic!

Start with one (assumed) truth. "You're a Liar, Mr. Mitt."
Then follow it with vituperative and voluminous name-calling.
No logical or evidentiary data are presented to explain the reason for the accusation.
Just name-calling. It boggles the mind that some of us can and do actually consider it to be adult discourse.
Scary. Sad.

To me, it seems that part of the social pathology is the learned/conditioned willingness to assume or ascribe malign intent as a first response. I think I would feel somewhat mentally crippled if that was a major operating assumption. It can't help your mental state to have as "normal" such a low estimate of your fellow humans.
