The sister paper to the Press Democrat has now joined the other 34 newspapers of the Halifax Media Group, the 15th largest newspaper publisher in the US, in pathetically accepting the orders of this conservative conglomerate to NOT make any candidate endorsements in the future!

That means that our two biggest local papers, the PD and P A-C are now under the editorial thumb of a 'media group' with fox connections.

This IS happening right now!

I wrote to John Burns, P A-C Editor and Publisher, 707-776-8450, asking about this and he replied that he wrote an article in the Petaluma A-C Thurs, which I could not find online, curious to see what a censored editor had to say.
He replied that I could subscribe if I wanted to read his column.
That means giving money TO HALIFAX, the censors!
Writing back to him that I did not want to subscribe, but if he could pls send me the article, he wrote back, exact words: "No, I can't. I'm sorry"
Folks, this is scary, the Editor does not even have permission from his Corporate Master to even send an email explaining the position of the editor????????????????????

Ask what the difference is between the mid east rioters and Halifax?

I have cancelled my subscription to the Halifax Media Group and encourage you to do the same, and to point out to any advertisers of the PD and P A-C, that they are supporting censorship and losing customers because there will be even fewer readers once the word get out
Pass it on. Bravo Bohemian and Pacific Sun, they published letters on this censorship issue, shame on the local big papers to have rolled over like cowards.

Stop paying Halifax and tell them why when you do.
