In response to Veolia's participation in human rights abuses, the North Coast Coalition for Palestine (NCCP) is urging Sonoma County representatives to disqualify Veolia from the contract renewel process to operate the county's transit system. The French company is currently contracted to operate the county's buses through 2014. Veolia has been under international pressure due to its involvement in servicing Israeli settlements in the West Bank, which are considered illegal under international law. Please sign the petition below to support this effort to end U.S. institutional support for the Israeli occupation and ensure equal rights for all peoples in Israel/Palestine. The NCCP will be giving a presentation to the Sonoma County Commission on Human Rights on Tuesday, July 24th to push the campaign forward.
