Eagle cam update -eaglet getting all set to fly!

Very interesting happenings at the White Rock Bald Eagle nest in B.C.
At this point, one of the 2 eaglets (they call him Charlie) has flown off with the parents but they return to the nest often.

What's really great to watch is the 2nd eaglet (they call her Delta) spreading her wings, jumping around from branch to branch, getting ever further from the nest. She is testing herself for flight with the distinctive bald eagle flat wingspan, facing into the winds, trying to remain balanced. She looks like she is going to take her maiden flight any time now.

The parents are still bringing her huge fish which she has to share often with her fledgling sibling.

The difference between the 2 is seen easily in the tails. He has speckled tail feathers and hers are mostly solid dark.

However, there's more activity when it's not raining.

She flew!!! She was looking so ready, that I made a bet that it would be today. Then while I was watching (pure luck, that) she just leaned out and took off. She might be close by but she is out of camera range. I can hear eagles nearby.
