Thanks for Giving Our Son a Chance for a Normal Life

To our friends and community:

We wanted to thank everyone who helped in any way with the benefit event for our son, Lance Smith.

The event yesterday at Aubergine drew hundreds of people, and the response was fantastic. Because of the generosity of friends, businesses and people in the community, we raised nearly the entire amount needed to pay for Lance’s treatment for PANDAS, a rare autoimmune disease caused by streptococcus infection. We should be able to achieve the remainder in a short time. Thanks to all of you, our son will have a chance for a normal, healthy life.

We appreciate how our community and friends have rallied around this cause, and we’re proud to live in an area where people count. If you played a part in that, we extend our sincere gratitude.
