What I'm loving on the new Wacco

The profile section is fantastic! While I'm still getting used to the new simpler background version of everything else (which is ironic, since in the beginning all the bold color backgrounds I found distracting but I digress).

Barry you and your team have made some awesome improvements and all of this hard work and dedication is genuinely appreciated.

I'm having a hard time adjusting to the truncated posts in the digest. I'm used to reading them all--fast, to be sure--but all at once. Now if I'm curious to know how a post finishes up I have to open it...which takes time. About 3 or 4 times as long to read now if I want to see every last precious word.

(Oh--I realize this doesn't exactly fit in the "what i'm loving..." thread. but i wasn't sure how to just send feedback. Grumble, grumble.)

also i see that my "gratitude" record has been wiped clean. and this after i finally came to kind of like the gratitude-counting and -sorting function.

I believe the "digest" you are referring to is the list of "recent post" on the bottom of our home page.

This is meant to replace the "New Posts" option on the old website, which also only gave you the first part of the post.

The Digest, in the same format as before, available both on the website and via email, should be ready in the next day or two.

I'm hoping this will return, including all the old data. This is one of the bugs we are working on.

I must admit: I miss the old look and feel. It was a thing that made WaccoBB stand out!

I am sure I will learn to like the improved functionality when, or if, I get more into it.

The current look & feel is temporary. I hadn't gotten to revising it before I needed to put the site into production ahead of my plan because of the malware issue.. The site will get a complete visual refresh in October.

I must say my heart is warmed to hear how you guys grew to love the old interface. Please bear with with me for a couple of months until the interface is ready. I think it will be a big improvement over the current style and the old one.
