Embracing Our Community Cats
Tuesday, March 19, 2013
6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Finley Community Center, Person Auditorium
2060 West College Ave, Santa Rosa

An evening with Kate Hurley and Jon Cicirelli on the topic of keeping feral cats in the community and out of our shelters.

Kate Hurley DVM, MPVM, is the director of the UC Davis Koret Shelter Medicine Program. She has co-authored the Association of Shelter Veterinarians' Guidelines for Standards of Care in Animal Shelters. She says she loves shelter work because it has the potential to improve the lives of so many animals.

Jon Cicirelli is currently the deputy director for San Jose Animal Care and Services, the largest single animal shelter in California. He has served on the board of the California Animal Control Directors Association for over six years. He has co-developed the "Feral Freedom" project with Rick DuCharme.

Hosted by Forgotten Felines of Sonoma County in conjunction with Compassion Without Borders, Sonoma Humane Society, and Sonoma County Animal Care and Control.
