More organized Bike Thefts strike Sebastopol area
A customer mentioned that the area around Vine Hill Road was recently victimized by targeted thefts; bikes, tools etc.
This sounds similar to the event last year afflicting Kennedy road, which was apparently highly-organized, gang-centered activity.
Last week, one person told me they had heard something odd, but thought it was "just the cat". So, don't hesitate to call the Sherriffs office or your neighbors if you hear or see suspicious activites in your neighborhood or on your property. Lock or conceal your bikes, even at home.
One trick I've used is to hang small bell(s) on your bike, which are distinctive, and may clue-you-in to attempted bike thievery.

We still Accept Rechargable Batteries and Cell Phones for Recycling
We have a box where you may deposit your finished rechargable batteries, and even Cell Phones.
So bring your NiCad, Nickel-Metal-Hydride or Lithium batteries in for recycling.
This includes power-tool packs, packs from toys, laptops, i-thingys, just about any device.
These cells and packs should never go into the landfill-stream via your trash-can.
Be sure and remove your contacts or other information from your old phone before depositing.
Please note that you are to use one bag(provided) for each cell, if you have multiples.
Sorry, we do not accept Alkaline Batteries

More EV Charge Stations coming to Sebastopol and throughout Sonoma County
Aside from the Level Two Charge Station hosted here at eMotors, available for free EV charging, there will soon be three new stations near the Rialto Theatre, in the circular portion of the parking lot, near the East-Bound Bus Shelter.
You can see the posts waiting, where the wiring has already been run.
The County, through some grants, has acquired chargers for installation throughout Sonoma County, to help get us kick-started with convenient charging opportunities. These stations are not yet on the Charge Maps, or in the various Apps which help drivers find stations, but should be soon.
Remember, in Sonoma County, at most times, our electricity is provided by the Geysers Geothermal-Electric Generating Plant, so that's about as clean as energy production gets folks. We're most fortunate to have that local resource.
