City of Sebastopol
Northeast Area Specific Plan and EIR
Community Workshop

What: A community workshop on the Northeast Area Specific Plan

When: Thursday, June 22, 2006 7:00 p.m.

Where: Veteran’s Hall, 282 South High Street, Sebastopol

What: The meeting will include a summary of input on the Plan to date, and review and response to major issues raised at previous community meetings, as summarized in a preliminary draft Preferred Alternative for the Northeast Area that will be presented by the City’s consultants. Together with previous community comments on policy and design options for the Northeast Area, input received at this meeting will shape the content of the draft Specific Plan.

Why: The Northeast Area, roughly bounded by Sebastopol Avenue, Petaluma Avenue, Laguna Park Way, and Morris Street, is the subject of a major planning effort to create a Specific Plan that will guide the future of the area and address such issues as land use, new streets, flooding, and urban design. The City Council is asking for community input to help set the plan for the future of the area.

Numerous reports about the Northeast Area planning effort can be found here on WaccoBB.net. We recommend you check the web site periodically for updates and new reports.

Although not sponsored by the City, there is also a community discussion forum about the Plan on a local web site at: https://www.waccobb.net
