Ron Paul appeals to many crossover voters, especially because he wants to end all wars of aggression and empire building. This alone, would have huge beneficial effects on our economy.
In order to vote for Ron Paul, if you are currently registered as a Democrat you'll need to go stealth ;-) and change your voter registration to Republican. It is now all too apparent that the two parties are really one, so don't get hung up on "being" one or the other.
The Republican primary is June 5th 2012. They say you need to have it post marked 15 days before the election (which is Mon May 21st), but I just spoke with the county voter registration office and they said more transit time is necessary for you to register a change in party to the CA secretary of state office, and have them process it, send it back to Sonoma or Marin counties voter registration offices. So I'd allow an extra week--say May 15th. Even more time is needed if you want to vote by mail. So I don't recommend specifying you want to vote by mail at this late date. And it's vote fraud heaven; its very hard to track a vote by mail ballot says Bev Harris of www.blackboxvoting.org
To do this go here: https://www.sos.ca.gov/nvrc/fedform/ Print out the form and mail it the sooner the better.
If you are registered Decline to State, which is now known as No Party Preference, or another third party, you need to register as Republican to vote in the Republican primary.
