Homeless cats and kittens face a scary, unknown future. Feline Rescue of Northern California, a "shelter without walls", places a rescue cat in a loving home until an adopter is found.

Is being a foster parent right for you? If you are someone who, perhaps, has lost a dear pet but is not ready to adopt a new friend, will find being a foster parent to be most rewarding. Or, you just love cats and have the room and energy in your home to welcome in a homeless cat until a "forever home" can be found.

We provide training and a mentor will work with you, someone who is always available to answer questions and assist with any issues.

All of our cats have received the appropriate vet care and are tame.
