Election Day is upon us: How to vote?
Progressive Sebastopol is a new non-commercial website that I created to help local progressives make more informed choices in our electoral process. So we've launched an easy to access short web video debate page for the current City Council race, called, the Candidates Video Forum, at

Then because it's impossible for most of us to keep the propositions in this election straight without a scorecard, we've created one that can be printed and downloaded in one page to bring to a polling place. Carey Wheaton was kind enough to pitch in on this effort. We simply took all the propositions and state and local political office recommendations from Progressive Democrats of Sonoma County, which were identical to those of the Santa Rosa Democratic Party, and localized them onto a one pager. The one exception was the Palm Drive Hospital Board, for which we created our own recommendation. We think ebastopol should stick with the current slate of Johnson, Dawson and Dobbs.
Scroll down for a summary of Propositions; we agree with Progressive democrats of Sonoma County and the SR Dem Party that voters should say Yes on Prop 19--so let's make history on Tuesday! Also, Prop 21 is REALLY IMPORTANT! If it passes, we are likely to never again have park closings in so many beautiful state park, as we experienced this past year. And a Yes Vote on Props 24 and 25, closing big biz tax loopholes and allowing a majority of legislators to pass a budget will both be very important in allowing the State to better fund our schools and colleges.
