Frances Beinecke, President of the Natural Resources Defense Council ( NRDC) is selected to sit on the BP Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill and Offshore Drilling Commission.

"The bipartisan Commission, established through an Executive Order, is tasked with providing recommendations on how we can prevent – and mitigate the impact of – any future spills that result from offshore drilling . . . "

It will be interesting to see what recommendations the commission makes and whether they have an effect on national policy.
