Need help locating Neighboorhood groups/associations concerned with global warming policy

I am a student in a Public Administration program trying to get HELP with a project. I must locate GRASSROOT groups within SNATA ROSA who are NOT classified as NON PROFITS. Said groups should be actively trying to muster policy or change behavior with regards to GLOBAL WARMING. Please if you have any leads or are involved personally please reply to this post.

Criteria:
1. LOCATION ~ has to be Santa Rosa
2.WHO ~ Grassroot Groups/Neighborhood Association/
Concerned Citizens/Clubs/Community/Coalitions
(DOES NOT INC federal, city, county or state govt, non-profits or business)
3. FOCUS ~ Global Warming Agents (decreasing one's contribution)
ie Neighborhood car pool, community recycling project,
-perhaps buying local to reduce carbon from transportation
(DOES NOT INC consequences there of ~ ie Drought, Depleated Oil Reserves)

5. If you don't know of any but would still like to tell me:
a) What you are doing to decrease your contributions to global
warming.
b) Where you learn the methods you are using.

Any info would be a great help for this project.
