A great big fat amen to your statement Jeff.
I have 'waiting to see' on my mind these days
and in spades !!
Even if it all goes to hell in a political hand basket
there is no undoing the unbelievable good gained
by electing Obama President.
That act alone has given so much to so many.

Israel has shelled Gaza with white phosphorus after it called for a unilateral ceasefire, in an obvious violation of its own declaration.

Careful you'll ruin your cynical persona with that one.

i thought the US gave Israel about $2 billion a year.
i'm also wondering if Obama will be what Rush Limbaugh expresses great concern about, a genuine Stealth Liberal.
however, he shows no signs of abandoning the neocon's & Israel's pet project, the War on/of Terror. if he has any genuine stealth liberal cards to play on the geopolitical front, he is keeping them very close to his chest.
Unless I read the article wrong, the 30 billion for Israel was arranged prior to Obama taking office.
Google it to see for sure..I'm too lazy right now.
I honestly can't imagine anything Rush Limbaugh says to be worth considering, but then that's just me !!
Not likely Obama will make too many radical moves to change the way we
do business with Israel.
I'm looking for minor little moves and while I can't imagine what they might be, my hope is that some kind of relief will be forth coming for Palestine.
Progress however imperfect is all anyone can hope for in this miserable battle of wills Palestine/Israel).

It is 30B over 10 years ("the next decade"), same old 3B as always.........
The scary thing is the Jerusalem undivided part, that will be hard to restate.
