Paul Mercer Violin Improvisation Extraordinaire

We saw Paul Mercer perform last weekend at Pantheacon on his antique violins. He plays an improvisation style in which he goes into a trance-like state and lets the instrument lead him. His style and methods are too complex to describe in a post, but hearing him is an emotional experience that's hard to describe. I heard one young lady, leaving the room after the performance say, "... that was a life changing experience." Several people were in tears.
