Does that include pedophiles? How about necrophiles? Beastiality?

Yeah, I'm being a wise-ass. I agree with you! The world needs more love and tolerance.

So I do have a question. What do you think about Plural marriage? Is it okay for a woman to have many husbands, or a man to have many wifes?

Oscar Wilde answered this one more than a century ago:

"Bigamy is having one wife too many. Monogamy is the same."

I see that Erica Jong later substituted "husband" to equal effect.

From my perspective, I can't imagine having the mental energy to create and maintain two honest, open loving relationships siultaneously without at least one person -- and probably all three -- becoming dissatisfied.

Why not? There are many reasons why it is an improvement over monagamy and the "nuclear family" which is an invention so recent nobody had ever heard of it before World War II.

Without listing all the positives, can you list any negatives?

Try the book, "Three in Love."

Oscar Wilde was gay and just wanted to party all the time without the burden of responsibility. Hardly someone to pattern your life after. Jong had an unsatisfying marriage.

If you can't imagine maintaining more than one intimate relationship at a time, please don't become a parent. There are others better suited to the task. Most of them would do quite well if they had additional "parents" to help share the child rearing burdens.
