Study examines infection fatality rates for COVID-19

"The odds that an infection becomes fatal is only 1:10,000 at age 25, whereas those odds are roughly 1:100 at age 60, 1:40 at age 70, and 1:10 at age 80."

Re: Study examines infection fatality rates for COVID-19

Oh, thanks for these figures. I've been wondering about who was dying from Covid--I thought it was us elders--I'm 75 soon--but hadn't seen the figures. I'm sorry for us old folks but glad the younger ones among us are much more likely to recover--hopefully too without long lasting side effects which of course we won't find out about for many years.
