Hey WaccoBB community!
Davida and Lina here. We’re currently Oakland residents who are looking to relocate to West Sonoma County near the beginning of the new year (January/February).
Together, we hope to build community with people who are working to restore our relations to the land. We’re coming with an eagerness to participate in a rural community and learn how to live more sustainably.
We’re looking to rent a dog-friendly home that’s 2-3 bedrooms, with outdoor space for growing vegetables. We’d like to find something under $2,700.
Ideally we want to avoid going through a property management company, and instead hope for a one-on-one relationship with the owner.
A bit more about us:
Lina has called Oakland home for over 11 years. And while the city has brought gifts of mentorship and community, she longs to connect with the natural world in tangible ways. She currently works for KQED’s Arts & Culture Desk, helping communities connect to local journalism while providing the tools (and platforms) for people to tell their own stories.
Originally from the rural-suburban-industrial landscapes of Fresno, Davida (they/them) currently works at Jobs with Justice SF at the intersection of labor and community organizing. They harbor a deep love for the natural world and an excitement to know/learn from the nonhuman beings we share space with.
If you know of any rental/housing leads, we’d love to connect!
