CDC: New Fatality Rate Is A Shocker!

    still covid fear crazed?

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XxE2g8lby7o&feature=emb_title

    CDC stats at 1:30

    RonPaulLibertyReport 252K subscribers

The Centers for Disease Control have come out with a new estimate of the Covid infection fatality ratio and the numbers will shock you. No wonder the Florida governor has said "enough is enough" and decided to open his state up completely.
We are told to trust the CDC, so why is the mainstream media ignoring this very important news? Is this still about a disease...or is it politics?

Playing games with numbers and ignorance again?
Yes- the mortality rate seems low.

Simple fact- over 209K deaths in a matter of months. For comparison over the last decade flu deaths in the US has swung between 12-60K. So, with just a partial year of data we are seeing a mortality rate roughly 3.5 to almost 20 times as deadly.

Jude, it's not the just death rate, it's the persistent morbidity in a substantial percentage of the survivors. Try checking out #Longhaulers on Twitter.

    For example:
As Their Numbers Grow, COVID-19 “Long Haulers” Stump ExpertsAs Their Numbers Grow, COVID-19 “Long Haulers” Stump Experts
    https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jam...rticle/2771111

Adults with severe illness who spend weeks in intensive care, often intubated, can experience long-lasting symptoms, but that’s not unique to patients with COVID-19. What’s unusual about the long haulers is that many initially had mild to moderate symptoms that didn’t require lengthy hospitalization—if any—let alone intensive care.

“Most of the patients that I see who are suffering from [post–COVID-19] syndrome were not hospitalized,” Jessica Dine, MD, a pulmonary specialist at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine, said in an interview. “They were pretty sick, but still at home.”

Why some previously healthy, often young, adults still haven’t recovered from the disease has stymied physicians.

    Richard,

Compared to the ravages of other illnesses which continue or even increase
and the misery wreaked by the global response to this virus (among literally millions of viruses)
destroying lives, businesses, effecting long-term misery through poverty, suicides, homicides, abuse of all sorts,
endless upset and impoverishment - those ones suffering with on going symptoms simply pales.

The larger picture must be seen and addressed for the greater good.

The irony. You do realize Covid is now the 3rd leading cause of death in the US- behind only Cancer and heart disease? And assuming a safe and effective vaccine can be developed it can be largely preventable.

To address your line I quoted- To quote Spock from vintage Star Trek- “the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few”.
Historically the diseases we have been able to create vaccines for have largely wiped out the deaths and suffering from numerous major killers- at least in the nations with education, infrastructure, and political will to make use of them.

    More here on long-haulers

    https://www.sfchronicle.com/health/a...s-15601758.php

Another scary thing about COVID: Survivors aren’t fully recovering

"But among the millions who have survived are an untold number of people who suffered serious illness and now face lingering and even disabling symptoms, in some cases months after they were deemed recovered.

The coronavirus can infiltrate and injure multiple organs. Studies have reported lasting damage to the lungs and heart. People have suffered strokes due to coronavirus-related clotting issues. The virus can cause skin rashes and gastrointestinal problems. Some people lose their sense of smell and taste for weeks or even months.

Sullivan, now three months from the day he first developed symptoms and self-identified among the group of patients known as long-haulers, still struggles with severe fatigue and cognition issues.

“I’m not feeling recovered at all,” Sullivan said. “I have become so frustrated by our country’s response and half of the country still believing this thing isn’t real. It’s not just like the flu. It’s a big deal.” "

and that's with the 'global response that's destroying lives (etc..)' in place. We don't get to run the experiment where the global response is to ignore it and compare the havoc that wreaks. I'd say 200K+ deaths are a good indication that it wouldn't be insignificant.

Factually, the third leading cause of death in the US is iatrogenic -

Definition of an “iatrogenic” disorder: A disorder inadvertently induced by a health caregiver because of a surgical, medical, drug or vaccine treatment or by a diagnostic procedure.

Good to keep in mind while visiting your health care provider.

Re: CDC: New Fatality Rate Is A Shocker!

I was unaware of this statistic, but I can testify that I've been living with limited function in one hand due to a plaster cast being applied too tightly, and my comments about this to medical staff were ignored and denied. I know others who have suffered greatly from mistakes made by health care professionals. It's not that these actions were intentional, but we need to be aware that they happen. It's our responsibility to be watchful and aware of treatments done to us, and question the details involved. If we don't understand, we can get help with this from a knowledgeable health advocate, if there's time. With emergency life saving treatments, we may not have this choice.

I've advocated for those unable to stand up to doctors and other health care professionals, including the mentally ill and seniors.

I acknowledge that we need help and advice from health care professionals, but we need to inform ourselves as much as possible, rather than blindly trusting any professional, which includes veterinarians who use a variety of "opinions" for our pet's treatment. You can go to five different vets and get five different answers, even with similar test results.

Beware of blindly trusting any professional, especially when it comes to your health, and that of your pet's.

As the popular mantra of the 60s said, "Question authority".

For those trying to sort through the debate about vaccines (I am one of them), here is a link to a documentary series, 10 episodes by Ty Bollinger and his wife, Charlene titled "The Truth about Vaccines". Some years ago Ty Bollinger did an excellent job with another documentary series titled "The Truth about Cancer".
