    Is Capitalism Finished?

    Joe Scott, Aug 31, 2020

Is This The End Of Capitalism?

It's a term you've probably heard a lot, "Late Stage Capitalism." People use it to describe the absurdities and wild inequalities of the world today. But what is it exactly, and are we really living in it? And if so, what comes next?

    Re: Is Capitalism Finished?

Is Capitalism a dirty word? Many people think so. Personally, I like it and think it adds an interesting dimension to life and is the system I prefer to live under. But unfettered Capitalism, like unfettered anything, is not good. Like everything else, Capitalism must be controlled and have rules to make it fair to all. In America, where only 40% of the people seem to vote and most of us sit around and argue about everything and very few of us think about pulling together to make our country a better place, we have allowed money into politics to the detriment of us all. Until we have an amendment to the constitution that stops our elected officials from being purchased by special interests before they even take their seat, we will continue on our course of widening the gap between the 1% and the rest of us that will surely lead to a bloody revolution.

What we all seem to forget is, while the 1% has all the money, the 99% has all the votes. This is the reason that the tactics of the power class are to keep us divided. Can you imagine what would happen if we all stopped going in different directions and decided to concentrate on one issue at a time to make things better for all? A pipe dream? Probably.

In my humble opinion, there are but two root causes of our misery. By that I mean that all the other problems are like sores on our skin resulting from an infection inside our body. Cure a sore and another pops up. Cure the infection and the sores will go away. Money in politics and our idiotic educational system are the two root causes of all our ills. Having a government of the people by the people and for the people and citizens who are taught to think and solve problems is the only path to lasting improvement.

When will we get off our lazy asses and change the course of history for the better?
