Tea Tasting: Party with Pu'er!

Pu'er or pu-erh is a variety of fermented tea produced in the Yunnan province of China. Fermentation in the context of tea production involves microbial fermentation and oxidation of the tea leaves, after they have been dried and rolled. Generally speaking, Pu erh can be sweet, bitter, floral, mellow, woody, astringent, sour, earthy, watery, or even tasteless. A combination of tastes appear in one single steeping. Join us this September as we work our way through a wonderful selection of Pu-erh teas, the perfect tea for the time of year. (Our tastings are always free and fun!)
