Did you know that transportation is the biggest contributor to greenhouse gas emissions? Well, there is an effective action you can take to greatly reduce your carbon footprint - lease or buy an electric vehicle.
Daily Acts is thrilled to be partnering with the Center for Climate Protection and the City of Petaluma to offer this informative and inspiring forum on all things electric vehicle (EV). We'll be covering some major roadblocks like range anxiety, battery life, and overall costs for vehicles, maintenance and charging. You'll learn from experts in the field like Sonoma Clean Power on available rebates and programs, and hear testimonials from folks who have driven their EV's cross the country and back.
Still not convinced that EV's are more fun to drive, more convenient to fuel and less expensive to operate than gasoline vehicles? For folks who want to know what it is like to drive an EV, we'll have a variety of electric vehicles on hand for you to check out.
If you're feeling inspired by this program we hope you will register your action of leasing or buying an electric vehicle at the Sonoma Climate Challenge - an action campaign seeking to collectively reduce our emissions by 500 tons of CO2 by 2020. Register your home, join a team and take action to help us build a movement much larger than ourselves and create a safer and healthier future for all!
