Cavedale EcoSystem Restoration CampWe have 4 Acres of Forest Lands, in the Mayacamas Mountains, right here in Sonoma County, which were burned in the October Fires.
The Soil has been Scorched. Many of the Trees are now Dead, but most are still standing. Those will need to be cut down, and stacked up off the ground, in 10 foot lengths. And the tops will need to be Chipped, if anyone has a Chipper we can use.
There is No Drinking Water or Power, on the site.
Everyone should bring their own Food and Water, and try to be there, in the Camp, at least every Sunday, from 10 am to 4 pm.
But there is a Red Shipping Container, for the Storage of Tools. Bring Shovels. We already have the beginnings of a Small Garden. And we need to level off a building site.
The Plan is to build a small Homeless Shelter, to turn this Land, into a Not for Profit Homeless Training Camp, in support of Re-Localization, Sustainability and Self-Reliance. We own the Land, and everything on it, which is to be left, as a Not for Profit, which is never to be sold.
Come on up, on Sundays, to survey the damage, and to get involved. Those who work 3 Sundays Days will get a Dozen Free Trellis Poles, for their own Gardens, or some Free Firewood.
