My cousin's place is on Hessel. There was a medicinal cannabis home invasion not long ago there also.

Two injured in lab explosion in Hessel area
Two men received third degree burns in a butane honey oil (BHO) lab explosion last night.

On June 27 at approximately 7:00 p.m., Sonoma West Medical Center staff called the Sheriff’s Office after treating two men with suspicious burns. Both men drove themselves to the hospital and claimed they had been burned in a barbecue accident. However, they couldn’t provide any details about the accident and did not call for the fire department or an ambulance at the house. They were both transferred to a hospital outside of Sonoma County due to the severity of their burns.

Deputies went to the house where the accident occurred, located in the 5200 block of Wendell Lane. They did a security sweep of the house and backyard because of the suspicious circumstances. There was no damaged barbecue at the property. However, deputies found a butane honey oil lab in one of the outbuildings. The interior was damaged and there was a melted garbage can of marijuana outside the building. Someone had recently hosed down the building.

Other deputies spoke with three people who were in the driveway when they arrived. None of them were involved in the explosion. However, one of them gave a fake name to deputies. Deputies eventually determined he was Rodeo Vanbladel, 41, who is currently homeless. He had two outstanding warrants.

Detectives are still actively investigating this incident. Vanbladel was booked into the County jail for an outstanding felony warrant, an outstanding misdemeanor warrant, and providing false identification to a peace officer. He is currently in custody without bail.
