This is the interview of Julian Assange at the Ecuadorian Embassy in London directed by another legendary social crusader and fellow Aussie, John Pilger, released on November 5,2016.

Assange and his company, WikiLeaks have been pivotal in this leak-driven US Presidential election. Yet, this imprisoned man has nothing to crow about, living confined to two small rooms with no access to the outdoors, to say nothing of his family and friends - and all of the other simple pleasures that come with not being illegally detained.

True to form, he does not reveal his sources.

Assange gives his own special insights about the tens of thousands of Clinton and Podesta emails published by WikiLeaks and he gives his surprisingly compassionate insights about Hillary Clinton as a human being.

He talks about what it's like to be a political prisoner of the United States.

He describes his frustration with a global press that assumes that he is guilty of any charge,
when the facts are that he was never charged in Sweden and has since been cleared and
found innocent of any of the sordid allegations made about him; that the woman, herself
claims that the police made the story up, that the UN has formally found that all extradition charges against him to be illegal, that the State of Ecuador has made a formal assessment through its own legal processes and has found that Assange is the subject of persecution by the United States.

As he says, "No state accepts to call the people it is imprisoning or detaining for political reasons, 'political prisoners'. They don't call them 'political prisoners' in China, they don't call them 'political prisoners' in Azerbaijan - and they don't call them 'political prisoners' in the United States, UK or Sweden...Because it doesn't suit the Western establishment narrative...

"Yes, the West has political prisoners. It's a reality; it's not just me, there's a bunch of other
people, as well."
