I’m seeing this election as important symbolism in the shift away from a long-time imbalance of hyper-paternalism.
Observers of the long-term evolution of human consciousness have noted the gradual, global trending arc away from millenniums of unhealthy, overly paternalistic-dominant cultures toward a more enlightened balance of gender power equality. While clearly there is still a very long way to go, this Presidential election, which will decide who is the most powerful leader on Earth controlling the most powerful military the world has ever known, is a symbolic milestone in this ongoing evolution toward balance.
With Donald Trump as one of the two options in this epic conflict, one could not possibly conjure up a more blatant representative of the gross, unconscious masculine, whose time is long overdue to be overwhelmed by the rise of the feminine. Trump is the over-the-top, cartoonish embodiment of old-paradigm authoritarian paternalism, which is now in a last-gasp struggle for control of the future. The archetypes in play in this election are almost mythological in scope.
One can argue, with good reason, that the politics of Hillary Clinton represents the continuation of the same old masculine-dominant paradigm. Yet, the powerful gender symbolism cannot be dismissed. The shift has to start somewhere, and usually it doesn’t start already at the end result, but takes time to get there. The journey toward enlightened human society is a long one, if we’ll ever arrive. The goal is the ascendancy of the conscious divine masculine and feminine, in perfect balance
