Hi all,
Our 2 year old dog tore his ACL last week and needs surgery. The cost and recovery program is pretty intense, and not something we were prepared for. We're going ahead with the surgery, but are hoping to get some help by friends and fellow animal lovers with some of the "extras" that will hopefully will make recovery more smooth.
If you have anything that you wouldn't mind lending out, we only need these items for the next 4 months. We figured someone out there might have some of these items laying around that could be borrowed.
1. metal dog crate, 36" long (for the first 4-8 weeks after surgery-shouldnt be needed after that)
2. an outdoor dog pen
3. real bones for distraction/activity/chewing (must be raw)
4. any kong toys/hol-ee toys (any toy that will stimulate the dog and keep him distracted)
If you've been through this before and have any other suggestions that helped you and your pup, I would love to know!
Thank you so much!
