Roadie's ready for a place to call home

Roadie is a 15lb Terrier/Chihuaha mix. He was pulled from a Central Valley shelter and has been living in foster care for about 7 months. Roadie has a lot of love to give and is really ready to find a place he can call home. He loves walks, car-rides, and any type of outings--he's always up for an adventure. He also does well lounging at home. He settles quickly in a crate. Roadie needs a person who is a confident and experienced dog handler. He has moments where he is unsure of himself and reacts by growling or putting on a show of being a tough guy (his slight underbite adds to his tough-guy show). These behaviors are quickly mitigated with the proper training and correction. He does well living with cats and other dogs. He tolerates kids but is not a big fan of them, so he would probably be happier in a kid-free home.
