The Powerful Voices Project is a Sonoma County based project that is working to educate, empower, and enhance the conversation around sexual assault and its survivors. Through short films, curriculum development, community outreach, and story-sharing, the project is part of the movement towards a violence-free world.
We just released our newest video!
Meet Stephanie Burns. Stephanie is a phenomenal woman who experienced sexual trauma as a young adult and had the remarkable courage to report the incident and undergo a trial. Inspired by the words of the late, great Dr. Maya Angelou, Stephanie felt empowered to create a space of strength and celebration in the face of trauma. She works tirelessly to promote thriving in herself and others.
If you know of someone who may be ready to share a story, please spread the word. You can learn about the process on our website: www.powerfulvoicesproject.com
