The Surprising Gifts of Late Life

The Surprising Gifts of Late Life
a workshop for women of all ages
    with Susan Stewart, Ph.D.

    Saturday, October 22 - 10 AM to 4 PM
Cram Hall, 6th and C Streets, Petaluma

It takes an abundance of audacity, courage, ingenuity, equanimity, and good humor to age well in a culture like ours that mistakenly equates aging with devastating decline. The good news is that audacity and these other qualities often increase with age, and the winter of life can be the most fulfilling season of all, despite its challenges. Join us in exploring a balanced and heartening vision of later life, based on recent research, ancient stories, indigenous elder traditions, and older women’s experience and wisdom.

Tickets $40 in advance; $50 at the door. (Some work scholarships are available.)

See http://www.wintersgraces.com to pre-register or for more information. Please arrive by 9:45 and bring a pen, notebook, and bag lunch. (Beverages and refrigeration are provided.)

Susan Stewart is an emerita Professor of Psychology, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and author of the forthcoming book, Winter’s Graces: Everywoman’s Guide to the Surprising Gifts of Late Life.
