Greywater Oasis Tour & Workshop
Join us for a delightfully informative walking journey through 4 gorgeous greywater-fed gardens and learn how to install a Laundry-to-Landscape greywater system!
You'll get to:
Discuss the dos and donts of greywater
Gain practical experience with a hands-on parts assembly exercise
Tour various residential Laundry-to-Landscape designs
Find out about water-wise, edible, medicinal, and habitat providing plants that thrive in this area
See additional alternative water resources
TASTE the bounty of sweet, homegrown fruits grown by greywater
Be INSPIRED!
Whether you're new to greywater or have been dreaming of a system for years, this event will help you understand design basics as well as installation techniques, so you can confidently install your own Laundry-to-Landscape (L2L) system at home. The L2L system is an inexpensive DIY project that can save you thousands of gallons of water with one afternoon's work.
The host homes are spread along a 1.5 mile walking area. Walking and biking are encouraged, but driving is okay too. Carpools can be arranged so that pedestrians only need to travel one way. Stops along the way will have a tasty treat from the garden, with a delicious light lunch provided at the last stop! Potluck contributions welcome.
When: Saturday, August 6th, 9:00-1:00pm
Where: West Petaluma, CA - Exact locations and meeting directions shared with registrants the week of the event.
Cost: FREE! (Thanks to the City of Petaluma for their sponsorship!)
Bring: Lunch, sun protection, notebook, photos of your laundry and garden for design feedback (optional), & camera (optional to help with memory recall)
